‘Avengers 2’ Confirmed for Summer 2015, Could Be Eyeing May 1 Release (x)
A few days ago, Variety broke the internet with the announcement that Joss Whedon would be returning to write and direct The Avengers 2. Now Marvel has confirmed that the film will arrive in theaters in the summer of 2015. MTV has gone as far as to suggest that May 1 could be the exact date, though Marvel hasn’t gone that far in their release date announcement.
“Marvel has a very set agenda of what they want to do, they are already kind of ahead of the game [on the sequel] because they’ve got the guy that did it before doing it again and something tells me Joss already has the template [for the film],” the source told them. “In terms of the time frame, I think that it is well in the works. … It looks like the release date might be May 1, 2015, but that can change depending on people’s schedules. The beauty ofThe Avengers is that you’ve got so many people in this that even during the shoot if someone has to do another film they can just focus on [other characters].”
All signs also point to Ant-Man being the third film in Marvel slate of films arriving in 2014 to go along with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Regardless of what the exact release date is, we do know that the film is confirmed for summer 2015 and will pick up from where Guardians of the Galaxy leaves off.

WHY WAS THIS NOT IN THE MOVIE. WHY.
HIS MAKES LOKI’S SPEACH ABOUT NEVER WANTING THE THRONE MORE MEANINGFUL.BUT WITHOUT THIS SCENE IN THE MOVIE, IT SEEMED LIKE EVERYTHING LOKI DID WAS TO GET THE THRONE AND HE EXPECTED TO GET IT AUTOMATICALLY.HOWEVER, IN THIS SCENE HE SEEMS GENUINELY SURPRISED AND UNSURE AT FIRST..In Thor they did everything they could to dehumanize Loki. Think about it, what if when you saw it the first time the scenes involving Loki were not taken out? Loki and Thor before the coronation, Before they head off to Jotunheim, this scene.. Loki would never even seem like a villain in the most loose definition.
They were sparing us the heartbreak the first time around, when we didn’t know what was coming.
